Flight Simulator Bugs / Known Issues page
As flight simulators continue to evolve with frequent updates, occasional bugs or issues may arise within the software. We actively report these issues to the developers, and most are promptly addressed. Below, we’ve listed the known issues with MSFS and X-Plane, along with potential workarounds and solutions.
MSFS
I can't pop out my avionics in MSFS any more
There seems to be a new bug in MSFS after a recent update where when you pop out the avionics, they "show up" outside of your monitor boundaries. Please find below some of the solutions and hopefully it's something fixed in one of the future MSFS updates.
- The easiest way to fix it is to press ALT+ENT right after you poped out the avionics (even though you can't see them).
- If if didn't work, you can try deleting your your MSFS data by following these steps .
- If it doesn't work, another option is to disconnect all of your monitors after poping out avionics and then connecting only 530 / g1000 unit first before plugging your main monitor back. We found this worked for many folks.
- If it still hasn't help, the last resort is MSFS re-install.

There are black bars around G1000. I can't get G1000 full screen.
This is something I hope MSFS fixes soon, for now there is a quick fix by resizing the window slightly before pressing ALT+ENT. Please see a video showing this here
X-Plane
I can't pop out my avionics in X-Plane any more
Delete X-Plane/Output/preferences/Miscellaneous.prf file which has stored the location of the poped out avionics. It will reset it and you should be able to pop it out.
