I. General Setup

  1. Connect the three provided cables to your unit:
    • USB
    • HDMI
    • Power supply
  2. To power off the unit, press and hold the Left ⇄ button.
  3. To adjust the button backlight intensity, rotate the top-right knob labeled VOL Push SQ.

II. Mac Setup

1. Joystick Configuration (X-Plane 11 and 12)

Download all three files below (right-click → Save Link As):

Place them in your X-Plane 12/Resources/joystick configs/ folder (or X-Plane 11/Resources/joystick configs/), then restart the simulator.

If the buttons or encoders still don't respond: open the X-Plane Settings → Joystick page and select FlightSimBuilder G1000 PFD (or MFD). If the mapping is empty, click Reset to Defaults for FlightSimBuilder G1000 PFD (or MFD) at the bottom left.

2. Remove the Bezel Around the G1000

X-Plane 11

  1. Download both files (right-click → Save Link As):
  2. Locate the X-Plane 11/Resources/bitmaps/cockpit/EFIS/G1000 folder.
  3. Copy both files into that folder. When prompted, select Overwrite.

X-Plane 12

  1. Download the no_bezel archive and extract it to a location of your choice.
  2. Locate the X-Plane 12/Resources/bitmaps/cockpit/EFIS/G1000 folder.
  3. Copy all files from the archive into that folder. When prompted, select Overwrite.

3. Pop Out the Avionics

  1. Launch X-Plane.
  2. Left-click on the G1000 display in the sim.
  3. Click the undock button in the top-right corner of the display. It's easy to miss — see the video for its exact location.
  4. Drag the G1000 window onto your unit's screen.
