FlightSimBuilder G1000TNxi — X-Plane Setup

1. Download the FlightSimBuilder Hub.

2. Run Setup. This will install the launcher and create a desktop shortcut.

3. Launch the FlightSimBuilder Hub X-Plane (orange icon) from your desktop.

Note:
If you experience button issues, open X-Plane > Controls and ensure that all FlightSimBuilder G1000  assignments are set to “Do Nothing.”

- If you see any existing mappings, either click “Reset to Defaults” (bottom left) or manually change each assignment to “Do Nothing.”

- If the message in the Hub saying "Connecting" please check Under Network, there is an option to allow/disable incoming traffic. If it set to 'disable', change to enable and the Hub should show as connected

- The Hub manages all inputs for a lag-free response. Active X-Plane mappings may cause duplicate button presses.

4. Launch X-Plane.

5. Put the PFD and MFD on your units. On X-Plane 12.3 and newer you no longer need to pop out and drag the screens.

- Start your flight, then open Settings > Graphics.

- Find the monitor that corresponds to your FlightSimBuilder unit. Its assignment will initially read None.

- Set it to G1000 PFD Pilot for a PFD unit, or G1000 MFD for an MFD unit. The screen appears on that unit automatically.

- Untick the bezel checkbox so the unit shows only the screen, with no painted-on frame around it.

- Repeat for your second unit.

Note:
- This works with aircraft that use X-Plane’s built-in G1000. Third-party aircraft with their own custom avionics may not appear in the drop-down — use the older pop-out method below.

- If Windows changes your display order (after a reboot, or a monitor powering up late), the assignment can end up on the wrong screen. Re-assign it in Settings > Graphics.

6. To remove the bottom taskbar from the unit screens:

- Windows 11: Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors > untick “Show my taskbar on all displays”.

- Windows 10: Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > “Show taskbar on all displays” > Off.

- This keeps the taskbar on your main monitor and removes it from the units. It is a better option than “Automatically hide the taskbar”, which hides it on every screen including your main one.

Older method — X-Plane before 12.3, or aircraft whose G1000 is not in the drop-down:

- In the simulator, left-click on the G1000.

- Click the Undock button in the top-right corner of the G1000 window. This button is somewhat hidden, but its location is shown in the video.

- Move the undocked GPS window onto the unit’s screen.

- To remove the top title bar, use the Titlebar Removal Utility, available here:
